Breakfast is in the mess of BKOKS from 0700 Hrs till 0745 Hrs. The daily morning briefing is between 0800 Hrs and 0830 Hrs and this for every team member! The briefing ‘Flying contest part 1’ is from 0830 Hrs on and is only open for the team captains on their specified hour. After this individual briefing, a short time period is given to the team to prepare their mission. This happens in the Ops Zone, which is situated in half of the hangar Herpain. The flying part is between 0930 Hrs and 1230 Hrs. In the Ops Zone, which is also the briefing and relax room, a lunch is offered between 1100 Hrs and 1300 Hrs. After lunch the teams go to the swimming pool of KOKSIJDE where the sea-survival contest, organized by our lifeguards/divers, will take place. There is a possibility for civilians to attend this event from the canteen of the swimming pool. A lifeguard/ diver will give the necessary comments about the different tests. A competition for the ground crews will be held in the vicinity of hangar Herpain that same afternoon. The ‘1st Line’ is responsible for the ‘Ground contest’ which will be marked and will count for the final result as well. After all, an ‘International Evening’ is organized in the Ops Zone where the different teams offer a national snack and drink. Dinner, Belgian flavoured, is taken care of by the organisation. The rest of the evening is filled with music, small playful tests and social interaction.
